Pub Old Fashioned is an Irish pub in a Tomakomai back alley that welcomes the night.

We aim to be a place where locals heading home from work, people stopping by on business or while sightseeing, and even riders waiting for a ferry can gather around the same counter and strike up conversation naturally. Beyond the door, you'll find the warmth of wood that makes it easy to relax over a drink, and an atmosphere where the town's stories keep unfolding.

We do not put alcohol at the center of everything; instead, we value thinking about how to spend the time there, including your mood that day and the people you came with. Even on a first visit, we want to be a place you remember as one of your destinations.

The thoughts of our representative

Our representative, Yasunobu Ise, works behind the bar while also serving as a director and personality for a local community FM station.

What we value both at the bar and on the radio is listening carefully to the other person's story and responding with words or a drink that fits them. Rather than pushing a strong personal style, we nurture time in which coffee roasting, something we have kept doing because we love it, and music that can be enjoyed across generations come together naturally. Whether it's a lively night or a quiet one, the bar is built to hold both.
